WP1

Management

Leader: CNRS — Inka Manek-Hönninger

Partners: All partners

Duration: M1 – M48

Coordinates the overall project, monitors deliverables and milestones, manages financial and legal reporting to the European Commission, and ensures transparent governance through a General Assembly, Management Team, and regular risk assessment sessions.

WP2

Optics

Leader: CRYTUR – Antin Fajstavr

Partners: CNRS, LASEA

Duration: M1 – M39

Designs and manufactures all custom optical components for 2 µm wavelength operation: beam telescopes, focusing lenses, axicons for Bessel-beam shaping, and anti-reflective coatings.

WP3

Laser systems

Leader: RUB/PULS – Prof. Clara Saraceno

Partners: CRYTUR, RAYVEN, CNRS

Duration: M1 – M27

Develops two complementary laser systems: (1) a single-pulse Ho-doped femtosecond prototype delivered by RAYVEN for early silicon processing studies, and (2) the first GHz-burst holmium amplifier at 2.1 µm developed by PULS group.

WP4

Integration

Leader: LASEA – David Bruneel

Partners: CNRS, RUB, RAYVEN, CRYTUR

Duration: M1 – M36

Designs and builds a full industrial-grade laser processing workstation integrating the RAYVEN laser prototype, galvo scanner, custom optics, and control software.

WP5

Material processing

Leader: CNRS — Inka Manek-Hönninger

Partners: RAYVEN, LASEA

Duration: M7 – M48

The scientific heart of the project. Conducts parametric drilling studies in silicon first with the single-pulse prototype, then with the GHz-burst system.

WP6

Dissemination

Leader: RAYVEN – Célia Millon

Partners: All partners

Duration: M1 – M48

Maximises the visibility and impact of STAY2ME through open-access publications, conference presentations, trade show participation, a project website, LinkedIn presence, and two major workshops — one in Bordeaux (M33) and one in Bochum (M46) — targeting researchers, industry stakeholders, investors, and students.
